Getting There

Whether travelling by car, bus, air or rail, the Royal Highland Centre is easily accessible. The Royal Highland Centre is on the west side of Edinburgh, located next to Edinburgh Airport, within minutes of the M8 and M9 and in easy reach of the city centre. Royal Highland Centre sits off Glasgow Road (A8) between Newbridge roundabout and the A8/airport roundabout, one of the main routes into the city.

By Road: The Royal Highland Centre is located next to Edinburgh Airport, within minutes of the M8 and M9, and within easy reach of the city centre. The RHC sits off Glasgow Road (A8) between Newbridge roundabout and the A8/airport roundabout, one of the main routes to the city. Access to the Royal Highland Centre is from A8/Airport roundabout on to Eastfield Road. From there, signposts provide directions to the venue along Fairview Road onto Ingliston Road.

By Bus: From Edinburgh, Lothian Buses run regular services including the 48, 35 and the Airport Express (100). All buses run regularly and drop-off close to the Centre itself. Click here for a Lothian Buses timetable or call 0131 555 6363 for further information.
The Stagecoach Jet747 bus service from Fife will drop visitors off outside the Royal Highland Centre. Click here for more information.

By Rail
Edinburgh Gateway Station by Gogar/The Gyle is the nearest train station to the Royal Highland Centre. Haymarket Station and Waverley Station provide excellent links across the UK. Taxis are plentiful outside Haymarket station and there is a transfer time of around 15/20 minutes to the Royal Highland Centre.

By Air
The Royal Highland Centre is situated adjacent to Edinburgh Airport.

By Tram

The Mobiloo Changing Facility

The Mobiloo is equipped with top of the range, specialist equipment:

  • Tail Lift with a 1.6 metre platform.
  • Adjustable height changing table.
  • Electric hoist, allowing access to all areas of the Mobiloo.
  • Toilet with retractable grab rail to each side

It also has a basin with hot water, an internal heater and a side door for easy access by those without impaired mobility.  And we’ll supply everything you need to leave it as sparkling and clean as you found it.

Important hoist and sling information:-
Mobiloo users needing to use the hoist must bring their own sling with them. This is for your own safety and convenience – and to prevent any cross-contamination between different users.
